Just like for every meal, we try to diversify the pleasure of food, as well as the neighbourhood. Tonight we decide to come and eat in South Kensington, a fancy area in town. We take the underground to the station named after the neighbourhood. We come out on a lovely square, with a few shops. We are just a few blocks away from the famous Victoria and Albert Museum.
We weren’t set on a particular restaurant, nor the kind of food. We only knew we felt like having something light but (very important!) hot! After walking around, looking for a place to eat, we came back towards the Tube station, and noticed Cafe Primo, just across the South Kensington underground. This small and simple café/restaurant caught our attention with its softened ambiance. Even if there’s the possibility to eat on the terrace, we chose to eat inside, because London in October is not that warm!
The staff is welcoming, and the chairs are very comfy!
Cafe Primo serves sandwiches, saladsn pasta, paninis… Mainly Italian food. As good as all this sounds, nothing feels very tempting tonight. We are tired from our long and full day, and we are cold. So we go for the soup of the day: lentil soup (did I hear someone call us Grandmas??). The colour isn’t very appealing, yet, this soup is a true delight!
Cafe Primo is an address we recommend!
